menu

XP Start menu. If you never use it, it's just taking up space,
but you may not be able to delete it like a normal shortcut.
To remove it:
Right click the Start menu and select Properties.
Click Start Menu tab, then the Customize button.
Click the Advanced tab.
In the list of Start Menu items, uncheck the box labeled
Manufacturer Link.
Click OK.
or
If it's not in the list you can still delete it by editing the
registry.
In the registry editor, go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \
Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ StartMenu \
StartPanel
Double click the ShowOEMLink entry in the right pane.
Set the value to 0.
Exit and Restart Windows. |
